Student Organizations

The New Hampshire Chapter of the National Society of Minority Hoteliers is a student-run organization promoting professional success of persons of all nationalities and races in the hospitality industry through recruitment, retention and developmental programs.

Our student chapter of HSMAI- Hotel Sales and Marketing International is a very active group. They are involved in sales blitzes for regional lodging properties, on-campus service activities and staffing of our numerous industry-related trade shows. In additional, several students travel to and participate fully in the national meeting of HSMAI.

Eta Sigma Delta, International Hospitality Management Society. The need for Eta Sigma Delta was recognized by students of the University of New Hampshire where the first chapter was established in 1978. As a traditional honor society, it meets the standards of the Association of College Honor Societies. Yet, Eta Sigma Delta is different in that it also fills the role of a professional society with strong service offerings to students, alumni, faculty and organizations actively engaged in the industry. Hospitality students in their junior year with a 3.0 or better grade point average are eligible for membership.
